Here, once again, the renowned contributions of the CECA Best Practice Award. Once again, we can see the diversity in origin and themes of the programmes submitted to the jury. The sustainability of this long-running project shows that the criteria identified remain relevant in all kinds of museum situations, however diverse. These same criteria are also used and developed in many other CECA activities. The winners are recommended to speak at various conferences around the world (in 2024, Iran and South Africa chose to have Best Practice project designers speak on their issues). But this year the jury was able to observe and reward a new application of the Best Practice principles: the application of the same educational criteria to exhibitions. This is an exciting turning point in museum education. The criteria recognized for improving the quality of educational programmes are now being used as guidelines for making exhibitions more structured, more interactive, more inclusive, more educational.
